My buddy James can take credit for this one. He sent me some early (unmastered) tracks last week from this Milwaukee pop-rock band, and for the next hour we exchanged back and forth about how great they were. Simply, they debunk the current trend of popular indie post-punk music that jangles and cuts through with icy guitars and agitprop noise. New Sense is made for the masses. Inviting, warm, and highly infectious, their sound recalls Phoenix (check), Postal Service (check) and XTC (yes!).

If you happen to be in New York City's Lower East Side tonight or tomorrow night, it behooves you to catch one of their shows. Later in the month, they play with Tapes 'N Tapes and Voxtrot.
