Last night, my friends and I threw a loft party with craziness reaching illegal heights. And by illegal I mean that the police crashed the joint (high decibal levels). Luckily the NYPD left with nothing more than a stern warning. In actuality, it was pretty bonkers, even to my standards but only in the best ways. The place was packed with wall-to-wall people, everyone just having an awesome time. The music sounded better, people seemed to have more fun, and there was electricity in the air. When the bassline of this song dropped, everyone went apeshit. Pure ecstacy:

I have to say, I was completely entranced by my friend Jared who spent most of the night dancing with his beer bottle. He'd carefully place his bottle in the middle of the dancefloor, give it a good long stare, and prance around in circles like a man possessed. It was like performance art! Dude stole the show. By the time Caleb and I had our 100th drink, and C and JZ had smoked a big fat skunk or something, this song came on and made us all loopy and happy with our feet:

I ended up DJing for a while, and I played this song especially for C knowing that he's a big fan of Linus Loves. It's a wacked-out funky filtered house instrumental of Stevie Nicks' "Stand Back" which is a great song in itself:

Blah blah blah... we wrapped things up at around 4 am. C, JZ, Caleb and I had something of a sleepover party at my apartment. Much of the next four hours is a funny blur at this point though I remember playing some Poni Hoax, Celebration, The Presets, Cagedbaby, Ajello, Carl Craig and this song by Bang Bang... perhaps one of the sexiest, smoothest songs ever:

By 8 am, pure exhaustion and delirium had gotten the best of us and we all passed out like a bunch of narcoleptic babies. I don't sleep much and I'm up already but the guys are still sleeping. When they get up we'll go eat and relive the dream that was our all-night bender. A nice ending to a pretty crappy week, I'd say. Good times.
The police are tougher on bars and clubs for infractions like noise levels than at "residential" parties. Probably why you got off so easily. Sounds like you had a crazy-ass party --- would have come if I were in NYC :)

Yes yes yes you hot party babe. Excellent songs. But it was fucking hilarious when the cop turned around and told us to have a "merry time." Stacey, Jon, the Gobber and I danced so fucking hard. Had an awesome time Sunny!
