Somewhere in an abandoned Brooklyn warehouse are my apartment keys.

Mr. Mister's secret warehouse party Saturday night was something of an adventure. First off, I hate secret parties, I truly do. It makes me cringe a bit, the whole pretension of it all. That said, Mr. Mister does know how to throw one hell of a wicked party -- mindfuckery and all. There's no cover, no bar tab to pay, and there's always craploads of fun people up for just about anything. This time around... Bubbles! Suds! Everywhere! T'was like being in a giant washing machine. Somewhere Lindstrom's "A Blast of Loser (Mungolian Jetset 9606 Remix)" was playing and suddenly, things felt right as rain.

I think this is when the keys were lost. Meh.

Thank goodness for my key keepers, those designated friends who carry copies of your keys in case of these emergencies. Admittedly, I lose my keys often so I've pretty much employed half of New York City to be key keepers.

Tomorrow night is Gothamist's Movable Hype 8.0 show at the Knitting Factory. The Femme Generation boys are playing as are Takka Takka, Goes Cube, and Project Jenny/Project Jan. Buy tickets here. Their shows are pretty amazing, that's all I can say. FG also has an interview coming up on Gothamist in the next day or so.

So onto music. I've heard this track in the last week on two different ocassions, so I'm taking that as a cue to post it up:
*
Chicken Lips - "Sweet Cow (Chicken Lips Zeefungk Mix)"
It's a little grimey and a little funky, but it's all Italo disco business. If you snagged the 12'' on this, then you know Lindstrom remixed (with vocals and explosive synths) on the flipside. Through and through, all aces! Buy here.
